Coastal Navigation & Tidal Planning

Over the course of four sessions, we will complete the British Canoeing Coastal Navigation & Tidal Planning Course.  Using Microsoft Teams, video webinar and chat platform, we will provide a supportive learning environment to get you navigating with confidence.  The course is ideal for people setting out on their navigation journey, or brushing up thier skills prior to a Sea Leader assessment, complete with lots of practise problems throughout the week between sessions.  We use multiple cameras to provide live and follow along demonstrations and provide most the chart and map materials required.  If not already owned, you will need to purchase some navigation tools and materials.  There are lots of practise materials for you to consolidate after each session, as well as references and additional links to useful resources.

The course links to our Practical Navigation Day - making a complete package, where you can plan a trip in advance, and then conduct the trip on the water - practising the on deck navigation techniques.
