About The Event
Join us on a magical journey from West Loch Tarbert out to the wild Atlantic Coast, with the aim to paddle out and circumnavigate 'God's Island', Gigha, the most southerly of the Hebridean Islands. Gigha is really special, not only does it have wonderful beaches, rocky shores, plentiful otters and simply stunning views, it also has a fabulous sea food restaurant. Wild camping on the wee uninhabited island of Cara and visiting the 'Brownies' seat is a highlight of this trip.
The trip is aimed at sea paddlers with some previous experience. The trip will commence on the Monday morning in Tarbert, and include five days of guiding. Wild camping experience is ideal, although your guide can provide you with lots of support if it is your first time. The guide is a British Canoeing Advanced Sea Leader and ISKGA Guide - the highest qualifications possible in the industry, as well as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician: so you will be in very safe hands!
