This is a unique opportunity to really push your boundaries! Sea Kayak Argyll & Bute, in conjunction with Greene Adventures run this week that includes a Incident Management and Problem Solving, a Rescue Emergency Care Level 3 Sea Kayaking 1st (with extended skills) and a Sea Survival Course - all in a five day residential course! Our venues offer a variety of accommodation options, as well as some fantastic paddling destinations
This holistic course will cover leadership theory and problem solving. sea kayak specific 1st aid, advanced rescue skills and a host of other key safety techniques including the live firing of flares, how to use a PLB properly, use of VHF radios and casualty care in austere environments, as well as how to work with the rescue services.
The course includes all the certificates, coaching, accommodation and training, plus a three years BC Coach Update status: you just need to get here and learn. The course is aimed at BC 3*+paddlers who are looking to further their skills. It is a perfect launch pad to becoming a more independent paddler, or indeed becoming a leader (it is an amazing opportunity to prepare for the Sea Leader course). The courses are certified by Rescue Emergency Care and the International Sea Kayak Guide Association, and are taught by full time professional sea kayak guides, including a WEMSI Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician.
