Sea Survival for Sea Kayakers

This is a one day course that is a mixture of theory and practical training.  It is aimed to equip you with the skills to understand that dangers of the sea, and have the confidence and knowledge to survivie in the event of a serious worst case scenario.

We start the training with some classroom based theory on cold water immersion and hypothermia, as well as looking in great detail at all of the safety kit available.  This allows you to make sensible purchase decision, as well as ensuring that you know how to use your equipment properly and in detial.

After lunch, we put much of this theory in to practise, as you develop your own 'firing sequence' the order of things that you would do if you were in the water and unable to remount your boat, alone and off-shore.  This is life saving training that has brilliant feedback from previous participants.  

The course requires a minimum of three bookings to run.
