About The Event
This course will be taught over four two hour evening periods (Feb 10th; 17th; 24th and 03rd Mar). Â The sessions will be conducted via Microsoft Teams with participant interaction throughout the sessions, and within the team between sessions. Â All course materials and references are included. Â The course is highly practical, in that all of the theory discussion is linked to practical application of the principles.Â
The course is ideal for aspirant guides or leaders in any adventure sport, particularly anyone wishing to work commercially in the guiding industry. Â The course examines many of the practical and legal aspects of working commercially, as well as the essence of how a guide can transform a trip to make it a memorable experience.
Successful completion of three guide modules will allow you to register with British Canoeing as an aspirant guide. Â Each module also provides 18 months of British Canoeing CPD. Â The course fee includes all British Canoeing fees.
Sea Kayak Argyll & Bute can deliver all five of the modules, and provide mentorship through the process, including the final guide sign off.
This course needs a minimum of four people to run.
